The armed version (AT-6) typically featured two 30-caliber machine guns positioned in front of the cockpit and one or two 30-caliber machine guns located in the rear-facing gunner's seat. These aircraft were sold as surplus to civilian pilots who used them for training, aerobatic performances at air shows, and restoration. Today, both the AT-6 and T-6 are owned by private individuals.
