The AT-6 was an armed variant of the T-6 Texan, designed by North American Aircraft. It served as both a trainer and a ground support attack aircraft for the Army Air Forces, Navy, Marines, and other allied forces during World War II. The armed version (AT-6) typically featured two 30-caliber machine guns positioned in front of the cockpit and one or two 30-caliber machine guns located in the rear-facing gunner's seat. These aircraft were sold as surplus to civilian pilots who used them for training, aerobatic performances at air shows, and restoration. Today, both the AT-6 and T-6 are owned by private individuals.
