The AT-6 was an armed variant of the T-6 Texan produced by North American Aircraft. Serving as both a trainer and ground attack aircraft for the Army Air Forces, Navy, Marines, and other Allied forces during World War II, the AT-6 played a significant role in the conflict. Typically, this armed version featured two 30-caliber machine guns mounted in the nose section ahead of the cockpit, with one or two additional 30-caliber machine guns positioned in the rear-facing gunner's seat. These aircraft were eventually sold to civilian pilots as surplus and utilized for training purposes, aerobatic performances at air shows, and restoration projects. Today, both the AT-6 and T-6 are owned by private individuals.
