The AT-6 was an armed variant of the T-6 Texan developed by North American Aircraft. Serving as both a trainer and ground support attack aircraft, it played a crucial role with the Army Air Forces, Navy, Marines, and other allied forces during World War II. Typically, the armed version (AT-6) featured two 30-caliber machine guns positioned in front of the cockpit and one or two 30-caliber machine guns located in the rearward-facing gunner's seat. These aircraft were later sold to civilian pilots as surplus and were utilized for training purposes, aerobatic performances at air shows, and restoration. Today, the AT-6 and T-6 are proudly owned by private individuals.
