The AT-6 was an armed version of the T-6 Texan designed by North American Aircraft. Serving as both a trainer and ground support attack aircraft for the Army Air Forces, Navy, Marines, and other allied forces during World War II, it played a pivotal role in military operations. Typically equipped with two 30-caliber machine guns positioned in the nose ahead of the cockpit and one or two 30-caliber machine guns located in the rearward-facing gunner's seat. These aircraft were sold as surplus to civilian pilots who utilized them for training, aerobatic performances at air shows, and restoration purposes. Today, the AT-6 and T-6 are owned by private individuals.
