The AT-6 was a heavily armed variant of the T-6 Texan, built by North American Aircraft. During World War II, it served as both a trainer and a ground support attack aircraft for the Army Air Forces, Navy, Marines, and other allied forces. The armed version, known as the AT-6, typically featured two 30-caliber machine guns mounted in the nose of the cockpit, along with one or two more in the rear-facing gunner's seat. These aircraft were later sold to civilian pilots at a surplus price and went on to be used for training, aerobatic stunts in air shows, and restoration projects. Today, the AT-6 and T-6 are proudly owned by private individuals who cherish these historical relics.
