The North American F-100 Super Sabre was an American supersonic jet fighter used by the US Air Force from 1954 to 1971 and by the Air National Guard until 1979. The F-100D, a single-seat fighter-bomber, featured advanced avionics, a larger wing, and tail fin, as well as landing flaps. It served in Vietnam as a low-level bomber supporting ground forces. The F-100F was a two-seat training version with reduced armament from four to two cannons.
