The Normandy SR-2 bursts onto the scene in 2185 as the "successor" to the SR-1, packing an impressive punch for Commander Shepard's team. The Illusive Man had Cerberus build this starship to help them take down the Collectors' galaxy-wide operation of human kidnappings. With its headquarters status secured, the Normandy SR-2 serves as a base of operations for the Lazarus Cell. This ship is nearly identical to the SSV Normandy SR-1, but with a few key upgrades that make it a force to be reckoned with. One major difference stands out - this vessel is almost twice as massive as its predecessor, making it a game-changer in terms of firepower and capabilities. Cerberus spared no expense when designing the ship's crew quarters, equipping them with luxurious amenities like plush leather chairs and a fully-stocked kitchen. Despite its impressive features, the Normandy SR-2 still retains the stealth capabilities that made the SSV Normandy SR-1 such an asset in the field. However, due to its increased mass, this ship is unable to land on every planet - shore parties must rely on shuttle missions to reach a planet's surface.
