Normandy/ Schwwin /Maillard Vintage FreeWheel Remover Tool for large diameter (NOT Park FR-4.2)
thingiverse
I was a man on a mission, refusing to admit defeat or resort to ordering a tool from eBay. Eight revisions later, I achieved my goal - the tool got off the free wheel on my 1979 Schwinn Le Tour IV. As mentioned in the title, this project is not a clone of the Park Tool FR-4.2. Instead, it's designed for a larger 24-spline spec that Park no longer produces. To ensure proper installation, remove a certain amount from your rear axle, but not beyond the keyed washer. I used PLA at 100% infill, but if you're working with ABS, consider reducing your infill significantly to avoid over-engineering the part. **It's crucial** that in the STL file, the tool is oriented horizontally. If printed vertically, it will break instantly. To prevent this, rotate the tool 90 degrees so that it lies flat lengthwise.
