I design cable stops for the resistance control motors on NordicTrack elliptical machines. The original ones are flimsy plastic tabs that attach to the motor but often break off, causing the machine to default to full resistance - a problem my wife encountered with great frustration! Replacing the motor can be expensive, exceeding $100. But, I use 30 minutes in Autodesk CAD to create a custom cable stop that's stronger and more reliable than the original, restoring the machine to like-new condition.
