Nordic Track Bike Seat Adapter

I wanted to use my own seat on my Nordic Track indoor bike so I made this adapter. It fits the slot used by the standard seat, however I made a hole to accept a 27.2 seat post. I had an old carbon seat post that I cut and epoxied into the hole. I'm realatively light at around 150lbs, and with the post epoxied in the part it holds but creaks a bit when I get on it hard. I made a V2 with added support around the base where the post inserts into the part. I also think shortening the length of the seat post a few inches before gluing into the part would help the stiffeness as well.
