Initially, I purchased only one profile for my wax table, assuming I could work on just one ski at a time. However, when it came to waxing multiple pairs of skis, especially my daughter's short ones, adjusting and handling the skis was quite inconvenient. To overcome this issue, I used 3/4" aluminum tubing and cut a 2x6 piece in the shape of a ski for the profile. After obtaining metric bolts and threaded rod from the hardware store, I now have a setup that accommodates two skis. The photos show the original black pieces and their functionally equivalent printed counterparts in red. However, the original holder broke after a year due to stress near the bolt's middle. Therefore, I updated the files with a reinforced design, rounded corners, and an improved nut holder. The old parts are still available, but it is recommended to use the new ones for building a wax table. In another update, the binding holder failed at the pin (nail) after another ski season, so the diameter was increased in the updated ski_vise3 design. Additionally, the original Swix profile screw also failed, leading to modifications in the profile_nut2 for better usability. To print the required parts, duplicate the profile_nuts and ski vise, and one ski nut. Originally, the profile nuts were scaled-down versions of the ski nut. However, rounded corners were added to the ski nut for improved comfort. If reprinting, it would be better to scale down the ski nut directly to the profile nut sizes. The printed parts were made from ABS with 50% infill. The profile screws/bolts have a diameter of 6mm, and the printed piece accommodates a hex bolt head. The vise piece has a diameter of 10mm. Due to unavailability of a bolt with long enough threads at the hardware store, threaded rod was used instead. A nail is utilized to hold the binding, fitting securely into the print without requiring an additional nut. These printed parts attach to the table and ski similarly to the original ones.
