Have you ever had trouble with a top tube bag rolling off to one side on a steel frame bike? This mount provides a flat platform on round tubes for a top tube bag to strap to, eliminating all rolling issues. It can also be used for mounting other flat objects such as folding locks and tubes. The mount adds minimal stack height, and multiple clamps can be spaced to suit the strapping arrangement for different bags. I use these mounts with a Topeak Fuel Tank bag and an Abus Bordo Lite 6055 lock. The clamp suits ~32mm Reynolds tubing, which is used on Norco Search XR frames. When printed in flexible TPU, the mount will grip to the tube and remains very durable. I have currently used this bracket for bikepacking and commuting for six months with no issues. Required parts: - TPU filament - 2x M3 locknut - 2x M3x16 socket head screw Installation instructions: - Cover the tube in a layer of electrical tape to prevent issues with grit and rubbing over time. This can also be used to shim thinner tubes. - Bend the clamp over the tube and orientate it correctly for the strap separation. - Insert the screws and nuts, then tighten until the clamp can no longer rotate easily. - Sit the top tube bag on the mounts and tighten the straps very tightly.
