Norco Search XR-S steerer tube protector for handle bar bag

This protector is designed to safeguard the steerer tube of a Norco Search XR steel frame when paired with bikepacking handlebar roll bags or harnesses like those from Ortlieb, Apidura, or Revelate Designs. The protector offers a shock-absorbing platform for a handlebar bag or harness to rest against and rotate around, preventing scratches and nicks. The added flanges keep securing straps in place, preventing them from slipping off. When printed in TPU, the protector provides a tough, low-friction surface for the bag to rest against. I use this protector with a Revelate Designs Harness. A stepped cutout allows the protector to fit flush to the steerer tube while on top of the Norco badge. Required parts: * TPU filament * 2x M3 locknuts * 2x M3x16 button head screws Installation instructions: * Bend the protector over the steerer tube and slide it into position. Locate the slot at the rear. * Install the handlebar bag or harness and secure it with a strap. * Adjust the tension in the strap so that the bag doesn't flop forward or backward, but also isn't gripping the protector too tightly. The strap shouldn't interfere with easy steering.
