NorCal40A Enclosure
thingiverse
This is an enclosure for a spin of Chuck Adam's classic NorCal40A CW Transceiver setup with parts I had on hand. It's configured to utilize components readily available to me, though part numbers for these specific parts are not documented. They likely never will be. This project is still in progress. One aspect that needs improvement is the screws used at the top of the enclosure; while the top remains securely in place without them, their presence could enhance overall stability. I'm considering revising the text to be engraved into the body itself instead of being applied as a separate component on top. On my initial print, the text was positioned approximately 1 mm above the main body, resulting in an unsatisfactory finish. This is an area that requires further refinement. To secure the PCB, feet, and top, I employed threaded inserts. Both #4-40 and 3mm inserts should be effective for this purpose. The speaker is held in place by applying heat using a soldering iron along with excess filament, directly onto the top of the enclosure.
