This Nootka Rose blossom was captured with NextEngine on May 25, 2017. The Family A model was combined using ScanStudio on June 30-2017 to produce a Family B model. The .ply files generated for Family A in ScanStudio were imported into MeshLab on November 22, 2017 and exported from MeshLab to Sketchfab on November 22, 2017. This Nootka Rose [Rosa nutkana C. Presl var. nutkana] blossom was picked on May 25, 2017 in Uplands Park, Oak Bay, B.C., Canada. The ScanStudio Fuse functionality filled all the gaps in the model to create this unexpected flower sculpture. Further modeling used the Volume Merge functionality instead of the Fuse functionality.
