Made with FreeCAD This case is designed specifically for your Ham It Up v1.3 Upconverter SDR by NooElec. It provides adequate air circulation and ventilation holes to ensure reliable operation even in extreme environments, such as the desert, when running 24/7. The compact design fits perfectly without requiring any screws or tools. I created this custom case because NooElec modified the PCB layout again for version 1.3, affecting the connectors and other components. As a result, I couldn't find a compatible case on Thingiverse, so I had to design one myself. The lid of the case should be aligned in a specific position, as illustrated in the second photo where the first row of four holes begins at the LEDs of the upconverter. By simply laying the top cover over the PCB and observing how the standoffs sit perfectly on the board, you can easily determine the correct orientation before assembly. To minimize electrical noise, many experts recommend wrapping the case in aluminum foil and grounding the USB connection. Additionally, using a low-noise amplifier (LNA) with ham radios is often suggested to enhance performance. For example, check out this LNA for all project at http://lna4all.blogspot.com/2013/04/lna-for-all-low-noise-amplifier-for.html. Print Settings Rafts: None Supports: None Resolution: 0.3 mm for the bottom layer; I used 0.14 mm for the top layer Infill: 15%
