Noodle Sword!
thingiverse
This is an advanced pool noodle sword handle that's simple to print and safe by design. It's engineered to be printed in TPU - the central core provides stiffness to the blade by adding walls to the print. I've used commercial, blow-molded noodle sword grips; they're too flimsy for my toddler, and honestly an insult to anyone who's held a fencing foil. These grips will securely hold your pool noodle through numerous battles, and the noodle will give out long before the handle fails. The grip utilizes a double helix noodle mount, thanks to my creative genius. Designed in OpenSCAD because it's open source! For pool noodles, I specifically purchased these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N369MP7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The grip should work with any noodle that has a 3/4 inch hole - any standard size noodle. Cut the sword in half, using half of a noodle; cut it with a bread knife or hacksaw. I like to angle the cut for extra cool points.
