Noob Knob

Our project demands approximately 100 knobs for completion. Buying locally was infeasible due to high prices and limited availability; therefore, we chose to design and print them. It was my initial endeavor at creating threads, resulting in a 50mm knob with five finger grip arcs that accommodates 1/4-20 x 0.472 insert nuts. After printing on the Replicator using MakerWare's ABS material with 100% infill, 2 shells, .27 layer height, and settings of 230 extruder and 110 platform temperature, simply screw in the insert nut securely, utilizing an upper end stop for extra twist resistance. If needed, epoxy can be used to prevent loosening.
