NoName print head with Gaping Maw fan duct and 4028 fan
thingiverse
This is my latest print head design for the NoName CoreXY printer. It uses a very powerful (but loud) 4028 axial fan and the Gaping Maw fan duct (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5322790) from https://www.thingiverse.com/mfbs/designs. Thanks Liam for that great design! The X-carrier now consists of only two parts: the front and the backplate. This makes it more rigid and still quite easy to print. Lay the X-carrier front on the side where the screw heads for the spanners are inserted and print it in this position. The swappable hotend mount is designed for V6 heatsinks with M12 screw head on top (not the clamping version!) and uses either wrench opening 17 or 18. You can use the PROXXON 23551 spark plug nut for the wrench opening 17 version but with a 18 screw nut as TriangleLab uses 18 screw nuts but others 17... The print head offers a mount for a 8 mm inductive probe like SupCRprobe from CR3D or a SuperPINDA. The 4028 fan not only cools the print but also the EBB36 so don't worry if its temperature is falling during printing! ;) Don't connect the 4028 to the EBB36 but wire it separately to the motherboard/PSU! The Orbiter V2 is mounted with M3 screws that reach into the threaded heat inserts in the top of the hotend mount. There is a third screw securing the hotend mount to the X-carrier front and make it more rigid.
