To follow Belrius's instructions, first place the extra axle part (circle.stl) inside the framework of the inner wall (holey_side.stl). Next, add the "half gear" (half_gear.stl) onto the axle. Obtain a tension spring from a pen or similar source and create a loop with approximately 3/4-inch straight section. Hook this loop around the peg in the half gear, then stretch the remaining spring portion under the inner wall panel (holey_side.stl). Secure the spring by snapping on the bottom panel. The gear will be held more securely once you attach the outer wall panel (holey_frontback.stl). CA glue can be used for additional support, and note that these instructions were followed using an Ultimaker printer. Due to lack of a heated platform, triangular holes were incorporated in the flat plate-like parts to minimize warping during printing.
