Spiky Stellated Rhombic Dodecahedron Half, Cube Dissection, Rectangular Prism The design is a forward-thinking derivation from the Yoshimoto cube. It holds its shape firmly and does not flex. Use it as a starting point to build the entire Yoshimoto cube. Mathematically, four copies of this half will form a solid cube. Two spiky halves can be combined to create a stellated dodecahedron with 12 distinct rhombic spikes. Two hollow halves will combine to make a hollow cube that can hold a stellated dodecahedron. The possibilities are endless, leaving the rest up to your imagination. Thought-provoking questions arise about the structure of these unique solids. For instance, what is the ratio of the two diagonals on the base of a rhombic spike (square root of 2)? Each individual unit cube measures 25 cubic millimeters in volume. Two versions are available: Solid and Shelled. Please note that, despite built-in tolerances, when the two pieces snap together, they can be challenging to separate. A hole has been added to make this process easier. If separation is still difficult, consider using warm water as a solution.
