Non-Contact Tool

This everyday tool helps you avoid touching door handles and physical buttons, making it a vital accessory during these challenging times. After refining the design over several revisions, I've pinpointed a few essential features that make this tool truly effective. The rounded section at the back of the tool is designed for your index finger when in use, while also serving as a convenient hook to hang from a belt loop, keeping it within easy reach. The extended feature on the bottom of the rounded section provides extra protection for your middle finger by preventing it from slipping forward and allowing you to maintain better control over the tool when pushing or pulling. The triangular middle section adds significant strength to the part, making it less prone to snapping under pressure. The opening in the center also increases the rigidity of the part by adding continuous perimeter layers. The front hook is strategically slanted to facilitate effortless handle pulling, while a small flat surface, roughly the size of a fingertip, is positioned at the very front for pressing buttons. Engraved stripes on the front hook serve a dual purpose: they enhance rigidity by adding more perimeter layers and indicate the potentially hazardous side of the tool. The striped section is intended for interacting with possibly contaminated environments, while the smooth sections are designed for user contact. If you have additional ideas or suggestions for this innovative tool, please don't hesitate to share them. As evident from my photos, I've been refining the design over several weeks, and any input would be greatly appreciated. Stay safe out there!
