Heeeeeyyym guys! This is my Nomad`s shield. After a long break I decided to make a shield that's not just for nomads! A military shield made of wood and metal for self-defense - something all warriors can appreciate. Stylized and low poly, perfect for your game in any genre. Optimized! Ancient nomads knew one simple truth: no amount of wealth or property could replace the unshakable value of home turf. And when it comes to Kazakh nomads, that meant standing their ground against invaders - hence the need for solid weaponry. So naturally, warriors wore shields, armor, and helmets as a means of self-defense in those lawless days. Today we can learn from those pioneers by reading the works of medieval historians: Ibn Ruzbikhan, Rashid ad-din, M.Kh.Dulati, Mahmud Kashgari, Yusuf Balasagunsky and more. We can also learn from the research conducted by modern researchers like Ch.Ch. Valikhanov. Nomadic civilization has over a thousand years of history - that's a testament to their ingenuity! When it comes to making tools and gadgets for survival on the steppe, they made do with what they had: materials sourced from livestock, natural resources and craftwork. A warrior needs good gear in battle. In Kazakhstan's rich tradition, we can see examples of clever craftsmen making great swords and spears that could keep a horseman safe during a long day at work. Some folks would put talismans or amulets made out of precious materials on their children so they wouldn't be too afraid. Tribal people understood that defense is not about fighting back; it's also about knowing your ground, taking the fight to the enemy and preserving life. With all this history in mind, it makes sense why nomads developed strong techniques for using shields made of leather, felt and copper in battles across Central Asia until at least the mid-19th century - long before modern warfare tactics became the norm. By combining raw strength with smart tech solutions like these ancient warriors crafted something that could save a man's life time and again.
