Nokia Lumia 1020 Tripod Mount

A friend requested a tripod mount for his Lumia 1020 phone and I found one on Thingiverse; however, its clip was too large and it was hard to screw the tripod into the hole. To resolve this issue, I designed an improved version that works well with both Makerbot Replicator 2 and MendelMax 2.0 printers. This design features a brass threaded insert for increased durability compared to threads cut into PLA plastic. When printing in PLA, ensure good cooling for high-quality printed threads. To use the threaded insert, purchase E-Z LOK 400-4 threaded inserts with a 1/4-20 internal thread (Amazon link provided) and insert it using a large screwdriver or a coin like a U.S. dime.
