Noham Coupler

Noham Coupler

I've done the Dual Z upgrade, swapping out the Oldham coupler for a straight coupler. This DIY solution is similar to those Anodized blue aluminum couplers you can buy, but now you get to print it yourself from your 3D printer. The sides have holes that measure 2.5mm in diameter, so be prepared to drill them out a bit bigger to fit the grub screws. I'm not exactly a pro when it comes to drilling holes, but I do have a set of drill bits on hand. One thing that's worked for me is using machine screws with PLA - they go in without any issues, requiring minimal DIY effort. This straight coupler connects 5mm D shafts from 40mm stepper motors to an 8mm diameter lead screw. The dimensions are straightforward: it measures 15mm in diameter and 22mm long.
