This mask plays a key role in the Noh play Hagoromo (Hagoromo), crafted by Katayama Kuroemon X, a renowned master of the Kanze school of Noh theater. Scanned in 2017 for the NOxAR exhibition at Rohm Theater in Kyoto, Japan, it was a collaborative effort between Kyoto VR and Kyoto Project - a partnership between Kyoto City and the Japanese Ministry of Culture to integrate technology with traditional Japanese arts.
