NodeMcu dish antenna
cults3d
This is an experimental high-gain dish antenna designed for NodeMcu long-range use. I created this model but ultimately decided not to print it due to project abandonment; however, I'm making it available here if anyone wants to bring it to life. The design is fully printable, although you may need to slightly file the middle section for optimal NodeMcu fitting. The antenna was intended for original NodeMcu units, but it should also fit Chinese clones with minimal adjustments. To print this model, use the following parts: - Dish part: 8 - Mounting plate: 1 - Middle dish part: 1 - Nodemcu holder and receiver antenna: 1 The entire antenna measures 263mm in diameter, but each component fits within a 20x20 printbed. While I managed to print all parts simultaneously, it's recommended to do so separately to avoid nozzle clogging issues. When printing the dish part, use a skirt due to its small surface area. For outdoor applications, consider using ABS instead of PLA, as it performs better under sunlight exposure. To enhance performance: - Apply aluminum foil from inside the dish to reflect wifi signals towards the antenna. - Wrap a 50cm piece of wire around the long part of the holder on NodeMcu's small printed antenna. Secure parts with zipties, glue, and tape according to your instincts. Once you've printed it, please share some photos; I'd love to see how it turns out! Happy printing and hacking!
