NodeMCU DHT11 Temperature + Humidity Sensor Enclosure

NodeMCU DHT11 Temperature + Humidity Sensor Enclosure

thingiverse

A simple enclosure and mount is designed around the HiLetgo NodeMCU board, available on Amazon, to house a DHT11 temperature + humidity sensor and a NodeMCU. The project should fit most similar designs, including those with slight variations. The NodeMCU is mounted in an exposed position to maximize WiFi signal strength and heat dissipation, which helps reduce the effect of heat on the sensor's temperature readings. Below the NodeMCU is a chamber that provides ample space for wires with enough clearance for Dupont connectors to connect to header pins. The base is divided into two separate chambers for additional thermal isolation, with one vented chamber specifically designed for the DHT11 temperature + humidity sensor. Two slots are provided on the lid to secure the USB power cable using a zip tie, and a flange is included on the base for hanging or screw mounting. This versatile enclosure can be used either by hanging it from a hook or by placing it flat on a table or shelf, making it a convenient solution for various applications.
