A compact housing unit keeps a low-cost NodeMcu replica and a solitary relay within its confines, effectively mounted in my garage to receive signals from the OpenHAB installation for simultaneous door control and status reporting of whether the door is open or closed. This project draws inspiration from the innovative work showcased at: https://www.hackster.io/kayakpete/esp8266-wifi-smart-garage-door-e08013 The lid's retention mechanism relies on a single screw centered within, while the lid's lips provide secure holding for the circuit boards when closed. A crucial revision was implemented on 4/30/18, allowing for the removal of the lid even with wires still intact.
