I needed a quieter fan for my Lerdge board in my printer than the front panel fan provided. So, I opted to install a new fan which blows directly across the motherboard and through the stepper motor heat sink fins. To secure it in place, I simply clipped this fan onto the aluminum plastic panel using electrical tape along its sharp edges. The result is a snug and secure fit that does the job without any issues.
