Noctua 92x14 Motherboard Fan Holder for Anycubic i3 Mega S
thingiverse
I have a spare Noctua 92x14mm fan lying around that I'd love to put to good use. The Anycubic i3 Mega S stock fan can be swapped out with it, and I'm excited about the prospect of adding more cooling power to my motherboard without increasing noise levels. This is made possible by using the existing bracket and screws from the stock setup. I had the spare Noctua fan collecting dust, and I was planning to upgrade my 3D printer's drivers to 2208s. With the added heat generated by this upgrade, I realized that I needed more cooling power on my motherboard. This was an easy and affordable solution since I already had the fan. There is a crucial note to consider: the base plate on the Anycubic i3 Mega S has some limitations. It's fully vented everywhere except directly below the motherboard, which would significantly reduce the effectiveness of this upgrade. To make the most out of it, you'll need to flip the base plate vertically to ensure that the entire motherboard is properly ventilated. However, doing so will cause two middle screws on the base plate not to line up. This modification isn't for everyone, but if you happen to have a Noctua 92x14mm fan or want a bigger fan to keep your motherboard cool, especially after upgrading the drivers, this might be worth considering.
