Noctua 60mm mk2s nozzle fan upgrade
thingiverse
A labor of love remixed off Crunch3D's mount design. The funnel shape has been reworked to optimize airflow and reinforce the mounting arms. This custom creation was built from scratch, using his holes as a guide. Installation requires M3x8mm screws for attaching to the extruder and another set for securing the Noctua A6x25FLX fan. Feedback is welcome to refine the design further. I'm currently working on a slip-on cover/grill to encase the Noctua. The thrill of upgrading my Prusa with a Noctua has led me to purchase a 40mm fan for the hotend and this 60mm model for the blower. Unfortunately, the original blower fan gave out shortly after receiving the new Noctua. Forced to upgrade from the stock blower, I've opted for the quieter option, but now must experiment with fan speed to match the bridging performance of the old fan. It's exhilarating to tinker and test new components on my Prusa. I'm thoroughly enjoying this modding adventure.
