No touch device

No touch device

thingiverse

The primary goal of this design was to devise a contactless device capable of addressing the majority of everyday situations requiring direct hand contact with minimal complexity. For instance, navigating a shopping cart necessitates direct hand interaction. Observing our hands, it becomes apparent that the mechanism draws inspiration from Nature's success stories, specifically the thumb/index gripper found in human anatomy. Extra materials are required: - 4 Countersunk Screws Ø3mm (Length + - 9mm) - 1 Steel ball Ø8mm - 1 Spring for Ø5mm hole Please note that this represents the initial approach to the concept. For those interested in modifying the design, a STEP file is provided. Thanks, and enjoy exploring the possibilities!
