No-Touch Capacitance Device
thingiverse
Inspired by many no-touch devices for use on capacitance touch screens, such as ATMs, POS terminals and phones, I designed this simple compact and hopefully waterproof device. It can be carried in a purse or pocket, providing convenient access to a vital tool. A specially designed O-ring seal prevents dust and moisture from getting inside and corroding the AAA battery, ensuring reliable performance. To enter data or sign on a touch screen, a conductive rod leading from the battery to the exterior is used instead of your finger. 3 STL files are provided: TSD-CAP (the cap), TSD-1 (the body) and TSD-1_HALVED, allowing for flexibility in printing options. This feature enables you to print each half separately, avoiding the need to remove a lot of interior support. You'll also need a AAA battery, even a mostly dead one will work, and a short piece of conductive material. I used a brass screw with a rounded decorative top, eliminating the risk of scratching a touch screen with sharp edges.
