No supports required - Remix of 3D printed articulating LED lamp - better threads
thingiverse
IgorF2's lamp is a fantastic concept and features an impressive design; however, I thought it could greatly benefit from minor modifications that would make printing easier. This remix eliminates fillets on the underside (bed side) which always seem to print poorly, opting instead for chamfers that perform much better. Additionally, the metric thread has been replaced with a 45° thread optimized specifically for 3D printing. The vertical holes have been transformed into hexagons that can be printed as bridges rather than overhangs. I hope you find this version pleasing! **UPDATE 2019-06-01**: a source file for Fusion360 has been added to facilitate modifications. To adjust arm length, edit the "armlength" parameter (Modify -> Change Parameters) and then edit the component to relocate the helix accordingly.
