No Supports Required Filament Roller End caps & Tube
thingiverse
This is a customized version of HugoHuge's Filler - The Customizable Filament Holder (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3020026). I created this one because I had issues with the original Nipple breaking upon removal and popping off before the print was finished. I'm sure others have remixed this, but I figured I'd do it as my first post. Let me know if it works for you. Thanks! You can either print just the tube and two end caps or the tube without a bottom and one cap. I found it much easier to glue the tip/top on than to deal with supports. Very easy to clean up, and it goes together seamlessly. THANKS!!! Enjoy! *Updated Roller and Caps for Better Fit* Use Brim. Print End Caps at 100% and the Roller at 3-4 Parameters/Walls. Print at 0% Infill and 3 or 4 Parameters (walls) with 0 (ZERO) No Top Layers! If you don't, it will make the transition/overhang hard to print. No supports on Bottom are needed this way; just glue the Cap right on. Also, if you choose to Print the roller with the cap, make sure you Choose 5% Infill, Grid, Concentric Top/Bottom and it will start printing right smack dab on the Infill support. It comes out very nice.
