No-Support Remake of SAMLA Hanga
thingiverse
This is a remixed design of the SAMLA Hanga, perfect for storing filament in an IKEA SAMLA box. The original plan was a single piece that required extensive support material, taking 9.5 minutes to print with Cura settings and consuming an hour and fifty minutes of time. Additionally, all that support material needed cleanup and marred the surface. I redesigned this project into two pieces, ensuring it prints without any support while maintaining strength and ease of installation. To achieve this, print the Bottom Half and top half twice, laying them flat on the bed with no supports required. Then assemble as shown in the instructions. The clip-on part of the Hanga guarantees that the pieces will stay in place without gluing, but you can use glue if needed. The Sketchup files are included for reference. Print Settings Printer: Geeetech Full Metal Aluminum Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 20% Notes: Simply print them flat as designed. Post-Printing Press the bottom part into the top part as shown, then clip onto the SAMLA box. For more information, refer to the original model.
