Do you also love hydroponics, but you drown in substrate? Here is the solution for you! Indoor hydroponics without substrate. This gives the plant even more room to grow and you have to worry less about vacuuming the pellets that fell down while planting.

To give the plant enough stability a 13.5mm high wireframe (don't worry, no supports needed) helps the plant to not fall over. The lid fits on any standard honey size jar (~77/78mm outer diameter) or any jar with an identical lid. The hole in the center is 4mm diameter and fits most cuttings.

The jar should have the same lid as in the photo on the left.

The print is tested with PLA (green) and PETG (red) and works fine with both. If you want to make the lid watertight on the sides you could add a sealing (or anything similar), though this is not mandatory, as there will be no leakage if you do not flip the jar over. And furthermore: If you flip it over with a sealing it will probably leak from the hole for the plant in the center still.

After printing you have to remove the three small bridges on the bottom (1 layer at the bottom layer). I found out, that with them it is much easier to print and there was less warping as well as the outer ring stayed in place on the build plate much better.

If you have any questions regarding the model just let me know!
