A strap and clips hold a new sew face mask in place, designed primarily around the shop towel version. Elastic rests nowhere near your ears; one clip goes over, the other just under, if the back strap is positioned correctly. This is my second iteration, worn daily for 6-8 hours over two weeks, it's extremely comfortable. A thin foam tape on the back strap could make it softer, but I don't even notice it now. Many cloth masks can be adapted with this design.
