No Measure Dowel Hole Making Jig

This is a custom-made dowel pin jig designed specifically for joining boards using dowel pins. It enables precise drilling of holes in both edges and faces, allowing you to match the mating board's dowel exactly without measuring. Currently, it accommodates .375 inch dowels, but I can create versions for other sizes (.25in, 6mm, 10mm) if there is sufficient interest from users. A detailed bill of materials drawing is available to help with part counting and fabrication, including basic dimensions for metal parts. Part #6 requires a 3/8-16UNC hex head cap screw, which can be sourced in pairs of 4-inch long screws to create all four #6 and #7 parts. The grooves on items #2 and #3 are designed to fit rubber bands that pull the pins together, securing the edge of a board in place. The grip pads on the linkage allow for easy opening. I am considering adding an insert to the handle to adjust dowel pin size for 1/4" and 6-10mm dowels, which would require new drill bushings for each size. However, this feature will depend on user interest, so please let me know in the comments if you would like to see it implemented.
