A Modified Version of a Classic Trap Design, Optimized for Enhanced Durability and Reliability. The original trap design was plagued by excessive waste and unnecessary supports, which compromised its overall structural integrity. The hinge pin, in particular, proved to be a weak point, prone to breaking under even moderate stress. To address this issue, I made significant modifications, introducing a removable hinge that can be securely glued into place without sacrificing the pin's integrity. This revised design still requires some adhesive for optimal performance, but it has proven to be a worthwhile trade-off in terms of overall stability and reliability. In addition to these changes, I discovered that adding a small amount of weight was essential to ensuring proper seating of the trap's mechanism. A compact nut served this purpose admirably. The original design for this trap is credited to enrohtkcalb, who first published it on Thingiverse on September 21, 2015.
