No Issues Tissues - Tissue Box

No Issues Tissues - Tissue Box

thingiverse

I was fed up with grabbing and pulling a tissue from its box only for it to come off the desk and cause a nuisance. For some time, I had been wanting a slip-over case for tissues, made out of aluminium checker plate as planned. However, I never got around to making one. So, I decided to print one instead. This design is tailored specifically to the "No Issues" brand of tissues that I purchase here in Australia. It adds some extra weight to the box, which prevents it from coming off the desk when you try to grab a tissue quickly. I currently have a 0.5mm nozzle on my printer, so I set the walls accordingly. In the future, I plan to add more designs optimized for a 0.4mm nozzle as well. When playing with the top and bottom thickness in the slicer, I discovered that the coloured translucent filament used to print this box looks amazing when viewed from above. Here are the specific settings I used: * HobbyKing translucent PLA (green) * 0.5mm nozzle * Walls set to 1 Shell (with a wall thickness of 0.5mm), which makes the walls of the object 1.0mm thick * First layer height: 0.3mm, solid fill * Layer height: 0.35mm * Top and bottom thickness: 0.3mm * Infill and pattern are up to your preference, as you can see from the design * No supports needed; just make sure to rotate the part so that the side with the elliptical hole is flat against the build surface
