We use a small slider to block the laptop's webcam without resorting to tape or post-its. Thin layers, about 0.1mm thick, yield optimal results. To attach it securely, cut a piece of thin double-sided tape and remove the inside rectangle, leaving about 2mm of tape on the outside edge.
