This is a threaded cover designed to accept a seal and shield an NMO antenna base when not in use. I created the part using OpenSCAD with a module that I just developed for modeling standard threads. My thread module requires some fine-tuning, so it's not only extremely processor intensive, but the resulting STL files are rather bulky. NMO-rain-cap-v0.stl should be considered a preview. OpenSCAD exported the file as straightforward, but Repetier interprets it as non-manifold. The part printed decently with 0.2mm layer height. However, without anything to guide the threads, the cover didn't fit an NMO mount properly. With any luck, I can publish a v1 part soon. Finish with a 1-7/16" outer diameter x 1/16" seal (standard on Larsen antennas). Please share your creations.
