NixTech - Bumblebee 550 QuadCopter Motor/ESC Mount replacement
thingiverse
For Bumblebee Quadcopter kit owners, this motor/esc mount has been redesigned to enhance durability and reduce the chances of breaking. It also offers improved cable management and a zip-tie groove for secure mounting of the ESC. The mount is compatible with RCM 30HV ESC and Bumblebee motors, and should fit stock Bumblebee ESC as well. Keep an eye out for more robust upgrades to the entire kit. Printed in PLA without supports, it requires minor trimming but was designed for easy printing. A Makerbot Replicator clone with numerous modifications has been used for printing this mount. A glass table is recommended. To print, use 6 shells and a 60% fill. No support is needed unless your printer can't span the 27mm for the ESC. If so, print with support. Some minor trimming around the holes may be necessary. The CF arm measures 14mm, fitting snugly in the mount for increased stability during flight. If it's too tight, you can heat it over a stove burner and press fit it. The quadcopter has not yet been flown; it's still being rebuilt after a crash that inspired this project. Photos will be updated once the buildout is complete. Stay tuned for more "NixTech" modifications to this frame.
