Nixie Tube Clock Hexagon Base
thingiverse
This is a custom-designed base for my Nixie tube clock. It's compatible with many six-digit kits, but it was specifically created with PV Electronics' QTC kit in mind (http://www.pvelectronics.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=21). The idea behind this design came from the hexagonal wire mesh anodes found inside Nixie tubes. I also drew inspiration from the honeycomb window partitions that can be seen in the Engineering section of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 from Star Trek: The Original Series. To assemble the clock, you'll need four 20mm nylon standoffs and eight screws to secure the clock PCB to the base. These components are widely available at any store that sells computer parts.
