Water sprite ringed an elusive mortal being known as a nixie. The myth has evolved over centuries that Nixies were magical water maidens from various mythologies around Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Typically depicted as mermaids, or seductresses, the enchantress has always allured mortals to the brink of their demise with irresistible powers in its own magic circle or "ring" so as not to cross over into another reality by passing on some secrets given within that boundary, and ultimately falling deeply under a mysterious spell.
