The Funklock Kit is a stylish IN-12 nixie tube based timepiece that you can easily obtain from PV Electronics. Various case options are available for purchase, but I wasn't thoroughly impressed with the existing choices. My design goal was to achieve a sophisticated midcentury modern look, which I believe perfectly complements the distinctive nixie tubes. The face plate and feet were expertly printed using ColorFabb woodfill material while the body, rear plate, and buttons were crafted from regular white PLA. To enhance texture and achieve my desired aesthetic, I carefully sanded the woodfill pieces before applying a maple gel stain to give them a more authentic look.
