I made this mounting bracket specifically for a NITECORE MH20 flashlight and a 31.8 mm mountain bike handlebar. The light puts out an impressive 1000 lumens, making it perfect for nighttime mountain biking. Check out the video on YouTube to see how it's done: https://youtu.be/6_DB-QXH_P0 This mounting system clicks into place nicely and stays secure, but if you're riding over very rough terrain, you can always add an extra rubber strap for added stability. I also included a thin strip of foam to prevent any movement. To assemble the bracket, I used four bolts and five-millimeter nuts (the holes are drawn at 5.5 millimeters). Make sure to wrap a thin rubber band around the steer tube to get a good grip on it. Take a look at my other projects for more cool DIY creations!
