Nite Ize Steelie Clamping Bracket Fix
thingiverse
This is a design that will fix the Nite Ize Steeling Clamp style phone holder. The gripping surface of the rubber inserts that holds the phone in place once clamped wear out in a very short time. Anyone who has one of these style of brackets knows that replacing the entire phone holder can be a costly when they have to be replaced every few months. Without doing so the phone begins to slip downward out of the holder and will eventually fall straight out of the holder. *****This may work with similar style brackets, but it has not been tested. The support bracket has been designed for my phone, the Moto Z. However, it should work with phones (Case on) upto 13 mm thick. I also placed a cutout in the bottom center of the design so the USB port or the Audio adapter can still be in use with this bracket. It is printed in TPU for flexibility and so it will not scratch up the phone case. Use: Simply print, with supports. Place hooks over wire rods on Steelie. Insert Phone. Clamp closed. Now your phone has additional support.
